I must say I love the guitar. The pickups are a great surprise, very acoustic sound through an amp....it is a slide blues mofo. Absolutely thrilled with the instrument in every way!

The El Capitan I received is a wonderful guitar, great tone and intonation across the fingerboard. The fingerboard material is deliciously slick, easy and quick to play on. The light weight is very comfortable and balanced. The appearance of the E-Koa material soundboard is delightfully deceptive of a wooden instrument without the worries of changing or challenging environmental conditions. In short, out the many wood and composite guitars I have, the ElCapitan is my favorite to play. I wish Joe and the fine folks at Blackbird a wonderful celebration at the Launch Party. I also believe you will have great success promoting and delivering the EL Capitan into the hands of guitarist everywhere who I am sure will appreciate this wonderful instrument as I do. Taul Paul, thrilled and proud owner of an Ekoa El Capitan”
