Whether you are trekking, sailing, on stage or in the studio, the Blackbird Rider carbon fiber travel guitar performs. The resonance-driven design features a proprietary hollow neck and head sound port, one–piece carbon fiber construction for a full and balanced tone with strong bass, clear mids and crystalline trebles as well as uncanny sustain. Leave your nice wooden guitar at home because the Rider is nearly indestructible, unaffected by humidity, light and compact— but has full-size loudness and richness. We are not currently taking new orders for Rider steel strings and Here is why. Some dealers will have them through 2017. We are still taking orders for Rider nylon string models and have you seen the Savoy? Savoy is a bit larger with a cutaway, made of our Ekoa composite and sounds tremendous!
The Rider steel string includes a custom soft case, and strap buttons.

I have had my Rider steel string for a couple of years now and still love it. I can't imagine a better sounding or playing travel guitar. I almost always take it with me on trips and have never had a problem carrying it aboard an aircraft. It is unobtrusive and usually fits in the overhead directly in front of a carry on suitcase. Because it is carbon fiber, no worries about damage in a soft case either. If I didn't have the Rider I probably wouldn't take a guitar on my travels.
Really appreciating the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into your guitars. I just got the Rider and it is quite elegant, easy to keep close at hand - and it sings. Here it stands next to my other elegant guitar, both keeping each other's good company!
